I'd stick with Mann or some other OEM filter. No inexpensive fix for the unpholstery I know. Find a good automotive upholsterer and have them make new panels to replace the old ones. It will be costly, but not as costly as replacing the entire seat upholstery. I'm sure an OEM seat skin is a fortune. Cheers. J. Many owners have reported that because they over oiled the filter elements, the excess blew on their MAF Sensors causing poor performance and requiring cleaning or replacing the MAF sensor. I simply want to drive the thing, not make it a science experiment so I stick with OE air filters. Re you seat bolster panel, the other advice was accurate. Depending on amount of wear, some have repaired the leather in place and re-coated it to match the rest of the seat, others replace the bolster and have a new one sewn. Keep in mind that the lighter the color of the seat leather, the more either a new panel or repair will stand out. But even before that, I'd strongly suggest a call to George Pavlisko at Leatherique. He knows everything there is to know about restoring leather, and offers some of the very best products available to soften, recondition, redye, etc. Don't underestimate the magic his products can deliver! Worth a try before jumping into more expensive solutions. In case anyone else isn't familiar with Leatherique, their Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator Oil combo is absolutely the best thing for maintaining your leather interior (or any other leather items, for that matter). Once you try them, you'll never use Lexol or anything else again. You can buy directly from Leatherique's website at www.leatherique.com. (No financial connection; just a very happy customer...)
