its is a simple fact that green on black LOOKS MORE CYBER
want to make sure people take one look and think 'computer'
put them in a cyber mood.
watch any hollywood movie with a computer in the storyline.
make it green on black and ta-dah the work is done no more thought or
idea required instant throw off the web/computer newbie mystery of the
scary computer the 'unexpected' interface decision... oooh look its
blinking at me ... oh no is my computer about to crash ack i'm soooooo
scared......

now that goes back to that lack of experimentation and the design by
committee which is status quo of software/hardware manufacturers... but
