S. Senate. Dr. Wanda Franz, President of National Right to Life, gave a very informative and entertaining keynote address. Several elected officials in addition to State Senator Pittenger and Senator Dole attended the banquet: N. C. Court of Appeals Judge John Tyson, State Senator Fred Smith, State Representative Paul Stam, and State Representative Dale Folwell. There were approximately 150 pro-lifers from across the state who traveled to Greensboro for the gala affair. In addition to the wonderful dinner, the attendees were given pro-life favors and the recently published 2008 North Carolina Right to Life Resource Book. With the exception of one bill which was withdrawn at the request of committee member Rep. Sutton (D), the remaining bills including the "Choose Life" legislation received a favorable report and have been referred to Finance. Please do the following: If your House member is on the Finance Committee, call the member's office to ask for his or her vote to give the Choose Life Special Registration Plate a favorable report when it is taken up in committee.
