YES!! The Midway Drive In Theatre is still open and we expect to be open
Weekends only through the months of September & October...so please
include us in your considerations for your Movie Entertainment .

You've no doubt noticed the annual shortening hours of daylight as Fall
settles in. Therefore for the remainder of the Season our Gates will open
at 7:00PM..( with the exception of next weekend - Sept 26-28..annual Open
Captioned Show- Gates Open at 6:00PM on Friday & Saturday to permit a
"Social Hour") with the first Movie beginning at 8:00PM.

OSWEGOIANS....are you aware one of our own -Owen Benjamin- has made it in
Hollywood?..the following is excerpted from an article in Palladium Times
regarding Owen
Audiences this summer will be able to see Benjamin make his big screen
debut in the Columbia Pictures release The House Bunny. The film comes
from Adam Sandlers production company, Happy Madison, and stars Anna
Farris (Scary Movie 1-4, Brokeback Mountain) and Collin Hanks (Orange
County, King Kong). Benjamin will appear alongside Katharine McPhee,
the runner up on the fifth season of the FOX smash hit show American Idol
in 2006, Beverly DAngelo from National Lampoons Vacation movies and
Playboy icon Hugh Hefner. The film is set for an August 22 release. House

September 26-27-28 5th ANNUAL OPEN CAPTIONED SHOW Triple Feature
The last week of September is the National Observance of "Deaf and Hard of
Hearing Awareness Week"....in celebration of that Week it has become
tradition to present an OPEN CAPTION Program at the Midway Drive In..still
the only Drive In Theatre in the world to present Open Captioned Films.
Please understand the normal sound track is also presented and broadcasted
through you Car Radio...this program is for ALL Audiences..Personally I
find the Open captioned films to be more enjoyable than the conventional
untitled Films.
If you have Friends or Relatives please with Hearing difficulties please
make them aware of this event..we attract an Audian ce from across ed NY
State...it has become one of the larger social events for the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing. There will information vendors present on Saturday Night
with new products for the Deaf Community, as well as Volunteer "signers"
to help with Communication.
