I am on the Board of Directors for a local historical dance company
(Forget-Me-Not Historical Dance Company) in Cincinnati. The company
specializes in accurate reconstructions of mid 19th to early 20th
century dance styles, and performs in historically accurate costume.
In the past, we have also performed Renaissance and Baroque dances,
also in costume. Forget-Me-Not has an aggressive outreach program to
schools and other educational institutions. We have performed
internationally, and won 2nd place in an historical dance
competition in Italy.

Our company director is in the process of trying to form a band for
live accompaniment for the company's performances, He is looking,
in particular, for musicians familiar with the music of John Phillip
Sousa (turn of the 20th century), especially his waltzes, tangos, and
foxtrots. The ideal makeup would be a brass-woodwind ensemble
reminiscent of Sousa's original band.

If anyone is interested or knows of anyone who might be, I'd
appreciate it if you would drop me a line.

BTW, we are also constantly looking for men who are good dancers and
willing to learn historical dance!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
