When I bought my 560 SEC about 5 years ago it too had a leak... I determined
by cleaning the entire underside with brake cleaner spray, wiping it down,
driving it a short distance and then rechecking right away. I determined
that my leak was coming from the upper oil pan gasket. I also determined
that to correct the problem I would need at the least the ability to lower
or remove completely that oil pan.
Because of the clearance between the oil pan and the cross member I
wasn't able to do this with my limited tools and capabilities so I hired it
out to a trustworthy mechanic that had experience with the breed, but not
before stumbling through a NON-TRUSTWORTHY mechanic.
I also had an oil leak toward the rear of the engine that turned out to
be a leaking head gasket... this was repaired when I had the timing chain
replaced 3 years ago. I have had no further oil leaks since.
Good luck, Ken
