[W126 Coupe] Front Seat Removal

Hi Folks
I have done some research and it looks like I am not the only one to have a 
problem trying to remove the front seat bolt plastic covers without breaking 
them,due to the fact that the have put two slots in the sides which catch on 
the seat rail and also cause a weakness in the clip,the fact that they put a 
rear clip in place why would you need to add two locking slots?.

I have come to the conclusion that while MBZ engineers may be brilliant,the 
design side of things may be less than well thought out when it comes to 
assembly and disassembly.Take  instrument illumination for example ,if a 
globe blows it should be relatively easy to change in a car,you should not 
have to rip out the the dash.

Does anyone know if I can buy new clips without going to an MBZ dealer?
