Hi Dan,

You should have 2 screws up under the center console climate control
wood that will allow this vertical piece to be lifted away and downward
to access the climate control and other harnesses for disconnect from
behind. There is a clip on the rear air vent linkage forward of the
ashtray drawer that needs to be released. Move the rear vent lever and
look for the action up forward of the ashtray drawer. There are two
screws that secure the face of the center console to the dash that will
be visible once the wood is removed. The shift bezel needs to be
removed and then the center console wood that houses the window lift
switches needs to slide forward and up with the harnesses disconnected
from underneath. This will expose a few more screws that hold the
center console in place to the shift selector housing.

I think that's it. Then lift the console from the rear and pull
rearward. You will find a tight fit with the seats in place as the air
tubes are going to need to separate from the heater box to either side
of the passenger compartment. Just look around as you lift and pull to
see that nothing else is left connected.

I've always done the console removal with at least one seat out of the
cabin so you can have better access and less strain on things in that
area. Reinstalling the side carpet panels in their correct clips is
also easier with the seat out of the way.

Good luck,
Dick
