Hi Dick,
Thank you for your reaction.
It is located behind the rear shaft and facing the trunk, let we say.
It is a flat vertical piece with a horizontal piece facing the wheel and another below it facing the middle of the car.
The mechanic said it is a shackle keeping the wheel in place.
I discovered that something was wrong when driving first backwards and then forward. this happened with a harsh click sound.
Can you tell me more about it?

Ronny

Ronny,

Are you referring to the sway bar that attaches at two points to the rear chassis and then to the plastic links at each rear wheel?

If this has a broken chassis clip, it can be easily repaired.

Or are you referring to the big knuckle at the front of the rear wheel (semi-trailing arm)?

The only failure I've seen on these is the shock blowing through the arm itself. There is no repair, only replacement with used parts. I did both at the same time where it's a complete removal of the rear end. It's a full day of work and other components should be replaced at the same time and maintenance on numerous pieces completed as well.

If it's just the sway bar, it's not a big job and easy to repair.

Regards,
Dick

I had a very strangle experience and wonder if others had the same.
The shackle on the rear wheel behind the driver jumps out of the housing and is also bended.
The mechanic will take it apart and will look at it if it possible to straighten it and put it back in place.
What is your opinion?

Ronny
