[W126 Coupe] Power window motors

Yousef, I did some sound treatment on my doors a few years ago and if I remember correctly the material on the outer door skin you describe is the MB sound deadening. Assuming you're using a good CLD (contraint layer dampening), such as Dynamat, Raamat, Damplifier, etc., the new treatment will be more effective. You'll have to completely remove the window mechanism to apply the sound deadener so use the opportunity to completely clean everything and apply fresh grease to the cogs and rails. That should make things move a smoother and faster. While the stuff is out of the door, it's a good opportunity to inspect the attachment point and renew if necessary. Good luck on your project.
