Hi

The average age of cars in Sweden is 10.5 years, all cars over 25 years are
exempt from road tax, and the insurance are very cheap for such old car. In
South Africa full comprehensive insurance is about R900 per year, (100 USD),
(applies to all cars older than 20 years and driven less than 7.000 km per
year).

 

Obviously the 560 SEC's have a much, much higher average age. Even here in
Cape Town there are quite a few, mainly white with grey interior and they
are built by MB South Africa, but probably included in the European
production figures, since they most likely were imported in parts and
assembled here.
