Hi Clay,

I have no experience with GAAF. I've never had to replace any leather
either. I know you can order MBTex (vinyl) or factory leather for
replacement. My friend who does MB work uses MBTex in almost every case
due to lower material costs. You will want to get both prices.

As for carpeting, I used World Upholstery.. They sell the leather too.
Here is the link to the SEC page <http://www.worlduph.com/mb22.htm>

I did replace all the carpeting, and package shelf material in my 83
coupe in 2000-3 time period. Just in case this comes up, dying the
original carpet will not work IMHO. You don't say if you are replacing
all or a portion of the interior carpet. If you are doing 'all'
carpet, I think you will find that the carpet replacement is a lot of
work. The cabin needs to be cleared. Here is a brief description of
what I did.

The carpeting requires you remove all of the old glued on material.
IE., knee bolsters, door panels pockets, console side panels & outer
foot panels are really glued well so take some effort to remove. Best
done on a bench - I think the only way. Reapply all the small trim
pieces using contact cement applied to both surfaces. The interior
cabin work requires you have removed the seats, front and rear, center
console, door sills, etc in order to drape then apply the trim using the
cement process. The kit was complete and the fit excellent. I did
need to lay things out and match things up. Then label each item with
removable masking tape so as to not mess up left/right and so on. I was
able to reuse without damaging the original removable dense foam padding
(big $ to replace) under the carpets front and rear. The new carpet
segments came with the welting or stitched bead on the borders as was
the original factory layout where required.

Good luck,
Dick
