Hello
Thanks for the advice Dick.. my cooling system seems to work fine (wether is
pleasent at this time of year.. 68F) Temp stays just above 80C in all
conditions (traffic or moving). However, when i switch the AC on the temp
goes up to 90-95C in traffic. so i recon its gonna over heat in the same
situation in a couple of months when things heat up.. so am trying to
be precautionary
and do what i can to keep the engine cool.. i am in the proess of replacing
the coolant and temp switch... and thanks for the clarification on the
t-stat..i havent decided if am gonna replace it yet.. ill be doing alot of
trials first and see how it goes maybe ill post a report on my results ..
but itll take time till the wether reaches peak temps..
Also if i want to measure the engine temp via a thermometer (infrared etc.)
how can i get an accurate result (the right spots to measure) and what would
be a normal temp (when you say 83C am guessing your talking about the
coolant temp)..
@ JAY : hahaha if you can offer me a well paid job with no taxes and
cheap fuel ill be on my way with my SEC right this moment ;).. besides Dubai
is "kool" ;).. hope we'r all leading a good life...
@Michael: Sounds great..i might be replacing the alternator (maybe a 200A
GM) however being an electrical engineer i wouldnt depend soley on the
electric fans :D.. BTW how much horsepower would the visco fan pull from the
engine??
@ the rest: although ive been brougth up in Dubai, one thing you can NEVER
get used to is the humidity .. and btw this might be a shocker for you
(Michael) .. i havent touched snow yet .. am 23 .. ya never visited a snowy
place since i normally get my vacations in summer.. and on christmas -
spring breaks ... the wether is amazing to you wouldnt think of leaving
