[W126 Coupe] MBCOUPES Digest, Vol 85, Issue 6

[Mac Blair]

Sounds like coil to me.  When a bad coil heats up, it swells and shorts
windings, lowering the flyback voltage to the plugs intermittently.  Lotsa
luck!
