If you're talking about a w126 v8 engine car, the air fuel adjustment
screw is under the intake filter housing, part of the air metering
assembly(the air flow sensor by another name?). I'm not sure how it'd
be worn though...

The transmission front pump is inside the transmission, just behind the
torque converter, and driven by the torque converter being slipped into
it when installed in the front of the transmission.
It's replacement requires dropping the transmission free of the engine,
pulling the torque converter, and then going after the pump, though
likely only the transmission input shaft seal needs replacing if it's a
leak that is the problem.

Now if this isn't a w126 car, the transmission comment likely applies,
but I have no idea on the air related parts.
