[W126 Coupe] Cleaning paintwork in engine bay

I've had good results using Simple Green.

Just detailing my car and doing the engine.

Anyone know of a good way to clean up the paintwork in the engine bay?

It is quite 'dry' compared to the exterior and is difficult to polish or
make it look spotless.

I guess it hasn't had a buff over it from the factory so it's still quite
raw.

Any tips from the experts?
