Dan,

If you replace the compressor again, do yourself a few favors:

1) get an MB unit, whether used or rebuilt
2) replace the a/c manifold hose as well

Most indies don't know this, but if you buy the compressor from MB, it says
right in the paperwork that you need to also replace this hose or the
warranty is void.  I had many issues with my former SEC (3 blown
compressors) until Satish finally figured it out and found blockage in that
line.
