Guys.....

It was going to be a surprise, but you beat me to the announcement.  She's got Legs, and she knows how to use them.  Thank you for the compliments.

The article was hatched back in September at the MBCA StarFest national convention in Winchester, VA where I was showing the 560SEC which was causing a huge stir over its unbelieveable driven concours condition, and of course, legs, in a sea of men.  Did you even think for a minute this could NOT be noticed?  I am the only contestant working in the engine under the hotel carpark floodlights, long past midnight, to ensure nothing is overlooked for presentation.  

Fast forward, the shoot of over 200 pix was done the weekend before TGiving in many tempting varieties, but we had to maintain some kind of security and the Editor in Chief chooses the final capture and storyline, so again, is it any wonder why you see legs and not much barn, toys, or car parts?  Those of you who have been guests know it is a very special collection, and a very special place to me.  Sharing its beauty and artwork is part of the pleasure of owning it.

For anyone in the dark still, I am the feature Member of the Jan/Feb 2011 issue of THE STAR MBCA club magazine (subscription to members only) StarStruck column:  Ellen Ruck, A Passion for the Stars, p. 79. It parallels my profession on colonial history and interweaves it with my collection addiction. It doesn't show my SEC but since you all know what they look like, you can also get a glimpse of the very famous RedStar 1988 190e 2.6 Signal Red sedan that started me in this whole passionate spiral about 15 years ago.
