I appreciate the response and will look into why this is. The problem is that the left side of the Steering Wheel is closer to the dash than the right. I find it odd if Mercedes made them this way, however time will tell. I will provably take the care to the Dealer shortly.

If the car drives straight, even if the steering wheel is cocked left. I suspect someone at some point may have removed the steering wheel and not centered it correctly. If it drive straight you could attempt to correct this by removing the steering wheel and repositioning it. That would be my thought. As we had a 420Sel that came that way, and after back and forth with the dealer. I called an alignment shop here in town that does work for another dealer. The guy on the phone made the suggestion about removing the steering wheel to correct it if the car dove straight but yet the wheel was cocked if that makes sense. Anyway, I removed the wheel and move it to the correct position, no problems. Even after an alignment was done some 80K miles later for when I had the brake struts replaced. Not needed but was done as a precaution. had no issues. But someone else may chime in that its something else.

I just purchased a 1990 560 SEC with 136k miles in great condition all around with all recommended servicing complete. However, I have one problem thus far:
It looks as if the steering column is twisted to the left. In other words, when I place my hands at 10 & 2 o'clock position on the steering wheel, my left hand is closer to the dash than my right hand. I called a dealer, they said it's possible it could be fixed or not and that it could be a bolt in the steering column causing the column to rotate.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Sincerely,
Stephen
