Gentlemen (and ladies),
You can knock the Asian cars all you want but they really do stand up. My
'96 Toyota T100 pick-up served me well for many years. All I ever did to it
was a re-built starter, timing belt & water pump and oil changes. My 2004
E320 wagon has had the following replaced.
- front left coil spring.(warranty)
- fuel pump (warranty)
-rear wiper motor
- rear passenger door locking mechanism
-oil filter "cage" (cheap plastic)
- left front upper control arm
- left rear wheel bearing
- seat occupancy sensor (good will warranty)
- front pads and rotors.
The T100 had 96,000 when I sold it. The wagon has 97,000.
I rest my case.

Is it the car when you want to reach the engine that you need a can opener?
Ronny
No that's typical of some Mercedes models.......
