Hi Dr. H.
A few question and in no particular order that you may be able to answer
..
Is the leak actually visible to you when the water enters the cabin?
Has this SEC had a windshield replacement? Leaks can occur if any rust
has developed on the rivets that secure the reveal and windscreen chrome
to the sec sheet metal roof.
Are you in the snow belt with salt on the roads and has this sec been
driven in winter conditions? A precursor to the above.
Have the A pillar sunroof drains been checked and cleared with
compressed air where the service person can hear the air escaping from
the drain behind the front wheel?
Where you have another SEC, do you see a noticeable difference in the
rubber surround when comparing the good one vs. the leaky one? A visual
inspection may rule in or out the current replacement diagnosis.
Regards,
Dick
