OK Folks.
With the help of Steve Nervig, we have set up a new listserv (to replace this one).
We have a web page where you can sign up for it here:
http://web.me.com/dakota/Mercedes/MBCoupes.html
You can subscribe or unsubscribe yourself from the new list at this web page.
Once you are signed up, to send an email to the list the address is: mbcoupes at mbcoupes.org
Again, the reasons why we did this are several-fold:
1) This old mailing list has long been neglected by its owner(s) and is falling into disrepair through spammer abuse, etc.
2) This old mailing list doesn't readily send photos inline with emails, making users take extra effort to view attachments
3) We can finally move this listserver into the 21st Century
4) The 126 Coupe listserv archives have been dodgy / unavailable in recent years
5) There is a dedicated MBcoupe internet forum (www.mbcoupes.org) that is associated with this new list
We hope people will sign up for this new listserv using the web link above. Steve and I realize that you may not want to unsubscribe from this one but we hope that the new list can become a more modern gathering place for 126 coupe owners. You'll be able to attach photos to your emails and have them display properly :) We'll have searchable archives in a web format that is arranged by date and thread.
Steve and I pledge to be "on top of things" and won't let the new list founder and fall into a poor state. We'll be here to help if you have problems. We promise to remove you from the list if you want to go, rather than have to suffer from these constant "Jane, stop this crazy thing!!!" (Jetsons) emails from boggled list members.
So how about it? People game to migrate to a more modern listserv and forum combo for the MBcoupes? Version 2?

The 126 coupes forum is already set up and functioning at the link on my web site (of course, there are other 126 forums at Benzworld.org and mbworld.com too, though the "signal to noise" ratio of both of them tends to be … uh … pretty low). I only started my web forum earlier this year and there aren't a ton of 126 folks who are yet registered on the site, but everything is searchable and viewable except for pictures, which you have to be a registered user to see, and the number of 126 folks is growing steadily.
