Gary,

Your 91 should have a diagnostic outlet up near the battery. A little
rectangular cover. Lift this and see if there is a button and LED.

Procedure is something like ign switch on, press the button for 3
seconds and then count the flashes. Typically higher digit followed by
long pause and then lower digits. It may offer up one or more codes and
then repeat once again. To kill the memory I think you just hold the
button for 10 seconds and release. If it reappears you know the problem
persists.

If no button/led, you need to make one and set in the correct sockets
and depress.
