[W126 Coupe] A/C Not cooling

I have the exact same problem.. At 80C cooling is great once it hits 90 its gone .. When i hit the highway and engine cools down to 80 i hear a hissing sound and cooling starts again.. So i guess the compressor goes off when the temp is 90C? ..

 however i havent attempted a repair until today. Sent it to a shop he suspected some relay and\or valve  (not  specific i know) once he figures it out ill post what he did. But of course i expect the mb coupes experts to have a more prompt response ;)..
