I have no answer for your question, but maybe you should ask that question to the person who organize that event.

Ronny, This all very nice but what about the tour of the factory & track event? Isn’t that what the trip to Sweden was all about?

I sympathize with your friend regarding U.S. Customs. We have it all wrong and Israel has it all right!

I received the following email from the people who got the trip to Sweden.

Some of you did not believe it that it was a true offer.

See here below.

Thanks to Ronny, my husband and I just returned from a wonderful trip to Sweden! What a deal! We had a fantastic time (Ronny, your homeland is beautiful!), and I am so grateful that we had this once in a lifetime opportunity.

The travel was very illuminating. Going to Amsterdam and then on to Sweden was so easy - just show your passport and enter - no one checked our luggage, no x-rays, just a "welcome to our country!" Coming back to America was a nightmare! We had to go through security upon entering the Gothenburg airport (as expected), but then when we arrived in Amsterdam we had to go through security again to board the plane back to America (even thought we never left the "secure part" of the airport.) Then upon our arrival at Atlanta, we had to go through Customs, pick up our luggage, go through Customs again, and then go through the x-ray security AGAIN! Two of the security screens were the new body scans where they got to see me "naked" (that's why they get hazardous duty pay). In addition, the TSA people were EXTREMELY rude to everyone in line. I had purchased cheese in Amsterdam that had metal clips on the ends, and I thought that they were going to arrest us because my husband tried to pick up my computer case for me after it had gone through the x-ray machine the 2nd time.

Is America so hated that we have to resort to this type of behavior in the name of security? I'm not insensitive to terrorism; I was in NYC during 9/11, but this experience made me so sad for our country, especially after returning from such wonderful experiences in other countries. In Gothenburg, there were ambassadors dressed in native clothing handing out candies, tote bags, and balloons to the kids.

Internet access was free in both Amsterdam and Sweden with warm welcoming landing pages. In Miami on our way out, you opened to "Boingo" where you could purchase internet use and in Atlanta on our way back, you had to purchase internet if you wanted to check your email (a few sites were provided for free, i.e. GA Tech, UGA, and some county sites.) Sweden and Amsterdam were wonderful! The people were so gracious and accepting. I love America, but I seriously doubt that visitors to my country experience the warmth that I felt upon the arrival at those countries.

Thanks, again Ronny for sharing your wonderful opportunity. I owe you!!!
