That is exactly what happens to my 560 sec. I had several leaks, also the “boot”.
I told my mechanic to replace all the hoses from the fuel system because that stuff is at least 15 years old.
It becomes hard and brittle.

One simple thing to try... With engine running and air filter cannister removed, use intake cleaner spray (or carb cleaner etc) with spray tube and squirt directly along the joints between the air intake/distributer base and the manifold connection. If the idle changes momentarily while doing this you have a gasket leak that can be the cause rough idle. -Bellamy

My economy gauge is working fine; the rough idle is not very bad; but noticeable while sitting at a light. Performance Products has remanufactured ones for $699 plus the repair kit for $59. I am not sure if that's the way to go. It sounds like from what was mentioned if I do have a leak I may be able to just get the fuel distributor repair kit and see if that may solve the problem. Thanks for all the replies.
Thanks,

Its probably the intake donuts. What's your economy gauge doing? If is not pegged left you have a vacuum leak.

Does anyone have a fuel distributor for sale? My 1991 420SEL idels rough and I was told it need a new fuel distributor ($2,064). I am not sure if 560SEC fuel distributor is the same as the 420SEL; I am assuming it is. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Camran
