Hi Josh,

There is no aspirator motor on the early year SEC. I have an 83, the aspirator does not exist. On my 86 and 90 it sits at the right side of the glove box or pass. air bag on the metal shelf used to attach the knee bolster.

You are dealing with a bad bearing on the acc blower motor making that squeal.

Well, I went and looked it up in the EPC without a VIN, and there still doesn't seem to be an aspirator motor that I can find, either in Heating or in the Air Conditioning sections, specifically.

As to the vent on my SEC, there is a sensor behind it, a short hose to a pipe that runs down the right A-pillar, and from what I've understood from other discussions, there should be a soft foam hose that connects that pipe to the main blower plenum which is the source of the vacuum to draw cabin air through the sensor.

Maybe the aspirator was for the later models? I just haven't seen them mentioned on the 126 previously, though I'm by no means an authority.

Hi Josh,

You are correct, there is no aspirator blower in the Gen 1 126. The vent is present in the front courtesy lamp holder but, that's about it.. So there would be no reference in the EPC.

Hi Camran,

Thats a good point, could well be the problem! Can you help me with the part number as I cant seem to locate it on the parts catalogue...

It may be due to my car being a 1st gen w126, but I'm not finding an aspirator motor in the EPC.

If yours is a second generation car, could I use your VIN to look it up?

If not, does someone know where the part is hiding in the EPC?
