Jay,
If you feel reasonably capable of getting the fan off of the motor axle,
you can replace the motor alone for $71.74 USD plus shipping.

I replaced the one in my SD by placing a couple pieces of wood on either
side of the motor, resting the fan on them. Then using a punch and a
dead blow hammer, I carefully tapped the shaft of the motor out of the
hub of the fan.
Re-installation was the reverse, placing the fan hub face down on a
board, and using a punch to push on the other end of the motor axle to
press it back into the fan hub.
