On the instrument panel there are 2 small knobs on the right and left side of the panel under the instruments on the warning light panel. The right one is the odometer (kilometer) reset by pushing and the instrument panel light dimmer switch by turning. You may have accidentally turned the dash lights "off" when resetting the odometer. Try turning this knob to see if it reconnects. (The left knob is for the clock, obviously) -Bellamy

Dan - I have the same problem with mine except the digital clock above the
gauge also doesn't light up. Mine is a Euro, also. Last year I pulled the
panel hoping to find an easy fix but couldn't determine how the two small
"slots" are lit. I now carry a small pen light in the tray to read them at
night. A real pain!

"Obvious" unless you have a USA model, in which case the knobs are reversed.? I've been watching these posts also, as my dashlights haven't worked in years.? I didn't know that one of those knobs controlled them.? My car has a wheel next to the light switch and I figured that was the problem.? Anyway, I'm going to try them this morning and see if it works.? Thanks!

If you have a "wheel" next to the light switch, sounds like you have either
a euro model, or US model converted to euro lights with headlight
adjustment?
Yes, the trip odometer reset button doubles as the dash light adjustment
button for some brilliant reason. Took me years to figure that one out as
well!

I changed mine for a LED, a festoon type. Use a lower output type (not as bright). Has to go in the right way ~ can't recall how I determined it...probably hit and miss (no disaster if it is in the wrong way). Voltage is likely to be 12V. I have some spare clusters, will look if necessary :)

SORRY... I must have been asleep last night. The LEFT knob is the rheostat (turn) for the light dimmer and the right one the clock. The contacts in the rheostats eventually fail and can be jumped so the dash lights are bright all the time. (I found "Bright" isn't any too bright at best of times.) - Bellamy
