[W126 Coupe] Transmission Changing Gears with a Bang

Hi Ernie,

On my 380 and 500 motors (I don't have a 560) the back end (nearest
firewall) of the intake manifold has a metal tap and metal line that
runs under the exhaust cross-over pipe where the vacuum line to
transmission attaches.

All you need is to connect the line from the transmission to any vacuum
source on the intake. I would however expect that you will have a leak
if you do not find the original take-off point for the vac line.

I'd be looking using a strong beam of light right at the center (right
to left) rear of your motor just where the intake manifold falls away
and you see your exhaust crossover and then transmission bell housing.

Regards,

Dick
