[W126 Coupe] Ever heard of Air Care in Lower Mainland of British Columbia - Canada

Hi MB Coupes Group,

I have a little problem. There is such a thing where I live called Air Care
for vehicles ( older ones especially ) It's a bit of a farce, but there is
no choice as you can't insure a car here without it. ( Check it out if you
are interested - http://www.aircare.ca/aboutus-overview.php )

So, when I recently had my '82 - 380SEC tested, it failed. The engine was
rebuilt a few years ago and only has about 14,000K on it so I am confident
that whatever it is not a huge deal. Still....it has to pass the test. My
thinking is the catalytic converter in the exhaust needs to be replaced. I
haven't found a good mechanic here as every shop seems to look at my car as
one that provides a well-paid tutorial. I am a little hesitant to turn it
over to a shop purely because they deal in Air Care concerns.

So...here's the question. Is there a Coupe owner on the MBCoupes site that
is from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia Canada & who can send me to a
good mechanic that is reasonable in work and price?

Would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you all - and for all the advice over the years.

& all the best,

Mark
