Greetings Kent,
How long was the car sitting up before you moved it out of the garage? Is this car regularly used? While the key could easily have been in the 'run' position, it almost certainly will not stay put in the 'start' position without a hand holding it there. Accessories pulled down the battery over the course of the day, or so it would seem.
If you discharge a typical starting battery deeply enough, it takes a good external recharger to bring it back to (nearly) full charge. There is the risk that one or more individual cells in the battery may have shorted out by deep discharge, the voltage readings will let you know for sure. If your charger has a setting for a lower amperage try that as well, then use a voltage meter to determine where the battery is at rest after the recharge - don't rely soley on the battery charger's voltage reading. If you don't have enough volts/amps, the starter solenoid won't even energize, thus no "click" and no cranking of course.
What sort of battery do you have in the car? Have you checked the electrolyte level prior to recharging (if applicable)? Are the terminals clean and tight?
A completely full battery should be at 12.5-12.6 volts. My AGM battery (Absorbed Glass Mat, a somewhat more advanced maintenance free battery) is at about 12.7-12.8 volts when full. There is also a load test you can perform prior to attempting to crank, but please check voltage first and report on that.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] left key in ignition
Hi
I
parked the car outside the garage yesterday because I needed space to do a few
other things, I later saw my 8 year old daughter sitting in the car, playing
with electric seat, playing music and so on, it wasn’t anything to worry
about so I let her be. In the evening 7 or 8 hours later when I was going to
park in the garage again, I discovered that she had turned on the ignition and
left it on. The battery was nearly dead, I have now charged it during the night
and everything works, except the engine is totally dead, the starter motor
doesn’t even ‘click’.
What
could be the problem
