I believe there are a billion people in  Indian sub continent , siri
lanka,  Burma , Thailand ,who prefer to driver on the left of the
road.

In the very  olden days  people  preferred to ride on the left side
of the road ,This was to keep the right hand free to draw the sword
when  encountering highwaymen.

for over  sixty  years people  in France  had yellow head lights ,well
 that was  Not due to any  law or safety regulation .Nor is there a
requirement to have yellow lights now. It was as stupid as the sealed
beam thing here ,thank fully we can put it behind us  and install the
Euro lens now in our cars
