[W126 Coupe] Seat switch cover removal - 560 SEC

just took off mine and had the same problem...on the middle post there is a snap ring you can barely see it because it's very small and black.  use a small thin screwdrive to remove the snap ring, then the plate comes off.  the rest is just removing screws.

Would someone coach me in removing the driver's side cover.  I got the 3 "buttons" off and half of the cover (from the front).  The rest is putting up a lot of resistance and I don't want to snap anything.
