Hi Kelly,

With engine off, grab the steering tube/knuckle above the steering box
with one hand and observe any movement in the arm below the steering box.

If the upper tube is moving with little or no movement in the lower arm,
the steering box needs to be adjusted.

If there is a direct relation in movement above and below the box is
likely just fine. You need to inspect all of the other steering
components starting with the idler arm bushings and moving on to tie rod
ends, and center link.

You can also go to any good shop and have them go over the sub-frame and
steering to get a diagnosis.

One last check is if you see play at the connection (above/below) where
the steering knuckle above the box adapts to the tube entering the firewall.
