typically I would say yes, but turning the car on and off would only
increase the level of heat and given that solves the problem I'm leaning
more towards KE.. switching the ignition for on to off resets the KE,
getting it back in order for a bit.

My KE was sporadic just as he described and..

Granted, if FF hasn't been done in the last couple of years it should be
just as a matter of course!
