Hi,

Your issue is most likely to do with heat as its happening at set intervals.. There is one unit that fails due to heat and that is the Ignition Control Unit or EZL as its otherwise known.

Many Thanks & Regards

I am also having a "cutting out" problem. On a 350 mile trip last fall, my SEC would lose power after every 1hour and 45 minutes. I would have to pull over and turn off the motor for a few minutes, then it would start and be good for another 1-3/4 hours and lose power again. I finally got to a dealer and picked up a new 'fuel relay'. This got me around while visiting and all the way home again...I thought all was good. Last week while on a 2 hour drive, it lost power again at the 1-3/4 time period. Could this just be a new fuel relay gone bad? What other part would "time" itself out. Could the EZL or ignition module be the culprit.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Russell
