Hi Tiny,

There is a single bulb directly behind the automatic climate
control/radio area on the 83 SEC. This bulb is at the center of a fiber
hub. The fiber hub distributes lighting to the switches on the center
console and to the shift gate. The climate control push button unit
uses two 'wheat' bulbs accessible behind the adhesive foil plates at the
face of the unit. There are additional 'wheat' bulbs in the instrument
cluster itself. These are accessible from the rear of the IC and
controlled by the rheostat. I would caution you on using any wattage
bulb greater than the MB specifications where excessive heat might well
cause melting of the socket and surrounding plastics. Good luck in
locating an LED solution. If you should find one, please advise.
