Hey Andrew,
I'm not sure I can help you with the keyless entry module you've got.
The one I have in my car is the BergWerks model that they made for our cars (it's really just a Valet 712 with full instructions for installation in any W126).
I've got the detailed instructions that came with it. If you think they may be of help, I can have them scanned and e-mailed to you.
Regards,

Subject: [W126 Coupe] aftermarket keyless go questions
Fellow list members,
I'm preparing to install an aftermarket keyless-go system in my '86 560SEC. Wondering if I understand the schematics and behaviour correctly:
Mechanical input (key) activates an electrical signal(to vacuum pump), realizing a mechanical response (pnuematic to all locks), resulting in unlock signal to all inputs of the pump (+12V)to know to shut off, and informational to the alarm?
It seems an aftermarket installation has two choices, as directly grounding an input to the pump, while mechanically the door locks relays are connected to +12V, will create a short and blow a fuse:
(1) install a solenoid connected to the remote alarm/keyless controller on the driver's side door to realize a mechanical response as if the key had been used
(2) disconnect an input to the pump at one of the door locks (thus prevent possibility of short), and re-route this input to be controlled directly by the alarm/keyless controller--sound correct that I could use any of the locks?
I don't really understand the input from the driver's door (only) lock: pin 3 "lock" output to pin x1/1 of the pump (also tied to GND). Seems nothing would happen unless there is a current-sense between x1/1 and the input from the lock x2/2 --and I don't know what it would be doing based on that connection?
I have an Inwells TM3000UM2 unit--made in China, so cheap and almost unusable instructions--it will be suprising if it works. Another thought is to harvest the factory keyless-go computers , solenoids, etc. from a modern wreck, though I suspect the features are tightly integrated with some main computer which would be hard to (electrically) strap its I/O to trick it in to working inside an SEC, also big $ for a wrecker to let go of a main computer module. Anyone seen/figured-out the keyless-go system of a recent model or looked further in to this?
A later challenge is integrating a starter-disable (the '86 factory alarm doesn't have a disable feature, right?) Also, a factory "start" button would be nice, so I only need the transponder and no key, but then I need to replace the steering wheel lock with a solenoid/control. Additional thoughts?
Thanks (sorry for long/multiple questions)!
