[W126 Coupe] 560SEC Hydraulic Pump Rebuild

I slapped the pump face down on my rubber coated work bench and the steel
pump thingy moved. Then it was a simple matter to slap the pump into my
cupped hand to get it out enough to grab it.
I disassembled the steel assembly on a paper towel, slowly, and put each
piece in a location to be able to put it back together again exactly the
same. I paid particular attention to the little pistons to ensure they went
back into the same hole from whence they came. When you get the steel
assembly out, there are two tiny steel "dowels" that hold the metal band in
place. Nothing special about them except they're REAL small and would likely
be forever invisible if dropped on the floor. If you're worried, take the
pump apart in a zip-loc freezer bag so nothing can spring away.

Got it Mike, thanks-how did you get the insides out of the body ? Will
removing the steel ring that holds the pistons give me access to the
O-rings and let me remove the insides? It looks like I will be able to
install the pistons when the innards are removed. Will it be difficult to
reinstall the pistons & inner assembly into the body ?
