swapping/replacing eha if you went though the list and had pressure at the
fd will not solve the problem. You will now need to follow the decision
ladder in the manual and look specifically at testing the coil and the ecu.
If not so inclined, check for a fat spark at any of the spark plug leads by
holding the insulator within an inch of ground and cranking. Do not do this
with your bare hands. You will need to crank for 5 seconds or so to see if
it's there, then gone.

Best of luck,
Dick

I did all this everything seems fine. I do have two more EHA so I guess I
will replace that and see what happens

The FD was change out about two weeks ago and the car was running much
better than before, also the Power steering line was replaced about a week
ago it was leaking were it screws into the pump. Is that the I-coil right
next to the Power steering pump anyway that got a lot of powers steering
fluid on it do you think it could be the I-coil has gone bad because of the
Power steering fluid.

Hi Kelly,

Install the jumper across the fuel pump socket bed. Go the the rear of the
car and confirm the pumps are in fact running. If yes, remove the jumper and
replace the relay. If no, you have a problem with wiring to the pumps. It
is extremely unlikely both pumps would fail.

Remove the air cleaner and with engine off, crack anyone of the fd lines
feeding one of the injectors. Do you get gas spitting from the fitting? If
yes, the fuel supply is likely okay. Move the throttle linkage and observe
the pivot on the throttle plate (below air meter housing) and all related
linkages in and around the air meter housing...are they all moving freely
and meeting their stops??

If yes, check your ignition lead from coil to cap is firmly in place. Then
if leads were tight, remove your distributor cap and inspect the cap tower
and rotor for damage... i.e., melted plastics, carbon on the center tower
missing. Are there any burnt areas? Report what you find.

Have you recently done any work? Detail this please.

Regards,
Dick

I did what you said but same thing stall`s out after 2,3 or 4 sec. so it`s
not the relay. would it start at all if th FD was not put in right again it
ran for two weeks or maybe just a wiring problem

It sits between the two firewalls. There are usually 3 relays next to each
other - klima, fuel pump relay, and ovp. OVP is more obvious as its usually
silver with red top and one or two fuses inside the clear cap. The other
two look the same, about the size of a pack of cards or cigarette pack. The
fuel pump relay usually says FPR on it, the climate control says KLIMA on
it. Pull the fuel pump relay out of its socket. There are a bunch of holes
in the socket where the relay plugged into. You want to take a piece of
wire, 12 gauge or so, about 8-12 inches long, exposed on both ends. Stick
one end into the hole marked #6, the other in the hole marked #7 (I think I
have the right numbers, they are in opposite rows, its either 6/7 or 7/8).
You should now hear the fuel pumps buzzing/humming, pumping fuel. If not,
you have a problem at the pumps. If the pumps work, try starting the car
and see what happens. If it runs, try driving a little. If fine, the relay
is bad.

Check the fuel pump relay.
