I think the service CDs list tests you can do. When does this shaking happen - all the time or only under braking?
Could be: warped rotors, wheel bolts not torqued down equally/correctly, wheels out of balance, tires out of round, problem in suspension, etc.

i did a diy test on both front wheels...for the lower ball joint test, i jacked up the front end and put a crow bar underneath the wheel and tried to move the wheel up and down and there was no movement, (for the wheel bearing test) i grabbed the wheel with both hands and tried to move the wheel in and out and no movement. are those adequate tests for the lower ball joint and bearings? how would i test the calipers and shock absorbers? thanks
