Good point Markus; I haven't checked on the premium differences lately . . .it's time to do it again as well as to check in with other carriers on their rates.

Ernie, you may want to consider lowering your deductible to $0 for comprehensive, you might be surprised how little it adds to your policy. That's what I did. I don't know who you have for insurance, but I've filed a few comp claims in my life and never had an increase because of it.

Markus, thanks for your input.
I have very good insurance and at a very good premium ( I have 5 vehs insd and very few claims). I've learned that it is best not to file a $300 claim when you have a $250 deductible, you end up paying for it later in your renewals; and yes, comp claims are not chargeable but trust me, there are no free lunches, you end up paying for it one way or another. If I end up with a $500 bill I will consider one of two things: I will either keep my pitted windshield and keep my sunglasses handy or I will file a claim but either way I really do appreciate your counsel.
Thanks again,
Ernie

Ernie,
Do you not have comprehensive coverage on your insurance, or glass coverage?
If not, and you are trying to save money, check junkyards, and other websites such as benzworld.org<http://benzworld.org/> and peachparts.com<http://peachparts.com/>. I know for a fact someone was parting out 3 SECs.

This part is currently not available through normal warehouse resources. We able able to get it through our Classics division at a cost of $374.00 plus $120.00 to package and ship to you directly. You would then need to find a local installer to do the installation. Please let us know what you would like to do. You can reach us by phone at 800-914-1075 or via the online system. Your credit card has not been charged. Thank you.
Can anyone suggest a better option for me?
Ernie
