Hello Steve,
I took my car to a Frame and Wheel Alignment place where the Mercedes shop takes it's their Mercedes for alignment . The owner/operator of the alignment shop wasn't much for conversation but he did say that he didn't think that the leveler had anything to do with the camber. I made an appointment with him for next week when he says that he'll have more time to figure out the problem.
Thanks for your input.
Ernie

The car was lowered by the previous owner but the springs appeared to have lost their strength so I had them replaced 3 or 4 years later (they had a life time guarantee on them). Actually, I don't think that the replace springs were defective because the alignment that followed was not perfect and I remember them saying something to the effect of need something else replaced. The tires are kept properly inflated, the wear is on the in/outside edges. I need to leave now for my appointment; I'll let you know what I find out.

Hi, Ernie,
If you are getting wear (and if you can see the camber misalignment, I bet you are), I would suggest that you find an alignment technician that *specifically* knows how to do a four wheel alignment on a Mercedes, including using the toe-in spreader bar and steering gear pin, and measuring the correct ride heights. If they don't know what these items are, I would find another tech. (Don't know where you are located - I know an excellent one here in Puget Sound.)
Your car may also require a camber adjustment kit fore and/or aft, such as a K-MAC <http://www.k-mac.com.au/<http://www.k-mac.com.au/>>. (BTW, I found an outfit that sold the K-MAC kits here in the States for almost half of what they cost direct from K-MAC - I'd have to look up the source I had.)
As Jono said, bearings may need replacement, too.
Just my 2 cents.
