Dan,
Ditch the wd40...it's the worst pen oil on the market.. Pb/screw loose or if you have it acetone and atf is the Best:)
No need to bleed, the system is self bleeding....just find a bumpy road if you want to hasten the process...
Happy self leveling:)

Hi Folks
Thought I would tackle the spheres today, should be straight foward three
nuts and two unions,so I thought, trouble is my car spent its early years in
Hong Kong with its salt laden atmospere resulted in all the underbody
hardware being corroded.
All the nuts were power wire brushed then WD40 for a few hours, after a
lot of effort they finally came off as did the unions except for the small
11mm one underneath, despite using a quality flare wrench it was so tight it
rounded off,I think the material MB uses is very soft.
I then had to remove the sphere and the line together, managed to get the
line off after putting the union in a big vice and rotating the sphere.
Still had the problem of the rounded union, found it easier and quicker
to MIG weld the corners and reshape on a grinder, fits the wrench perfectly
now and is harder on the corners.
One thing I forgot to mention was the bleed nipple on the switch
assembly, after reassembly is the system supposed to be bled?I havnt seen any
reference to that.
Kind
