1-800-FOR-MERC... it's the same everywhere in the continental US.
the call goes to MBUSA (teleaid/embrace) center and then they route it to
the nearest dealership in your area of breakdown. But be sure to ask
questions as some tows will cost if not a warrantable issue. However a
battery charge(possibly a new battery),gas, or a flat tire is usually
covered for any Merc. whether you bought it at a Merc. dealership or
not...for the life of the car.
Of course if you are off roading in your G/GL/L/ML/GLK or even an E class,
or any model for that matter, way off the highway and get highcentered on a
log 50 miles from a paved road outside of Sun Valley then there might be an
issue...however you'd be surprised what some of the techs will try to do to
help.
Remember this the next time you go to buy from the dealership and you are
saying I wont buy unless you sell me the car at invoice... that little money
the dealer makes goes towards great programs like this that keeps Benz what
it is...
