[W126 Coupe] Off Topic W215 Coupe Question

I just picked up another MB coupe- A 2004 CL55.
I'm just going through the basic routine maintenance items and noticed that the kompressor (supercharger) is engaged ALL the time (even at idle, in park).
The magnetic clutch works fine- As soon as I turn the car off, it disengages.
There are no codes or errors being thrown so I am at a loss as to why this is happening (kompressor shouldn't kick in until about 2700 RPM).

Is there perhaps a relay that is sticking or something?
Has anyone else ever played with these 113 kompressor motors?
Any suggestions or advice would be most appreciated.
