[W126 Coupe] Fuel Pump

Can anyone help me I have a 1989 560sec after I replace the fuel filter one of 
the fuel pumps started to make a loud pitch sound, my question is should I 
replace both pumps or just the one that is making the high pitch sound. the 
problem pump is the first one after the fuel tank.
