Some workshops do have the old computer connector and can via Bosch
diagnostics see what the problem is. On the other side if the car has been
unused for a while, and being 24 years old, I suppose check fuel filter and
fuel pump. 

 

There are a lot of things that should be replaced at about 160.000 km or
100.000 miles. I replaced both fuel filters, timing chain, cold start valve
and replaced/changed all oil and fluids; gearbox, hydraulic, brake and diff
