Right Bruce,

With Steve shipping Seattle to Phoenix he should have his order snapped up
quickly.

If he was in Lake City, MN and shipping to Southbridge, Mass then it might
take a wee bit of time to place the order. From remote locals and to
remote locals you are sometimes reduced to dropping off and/or picking up your
vehicle at shipping points. Then you have logistics and time and storage
(aughhhhhhhh) to deal with.

Good luck Steve, ... you are getting good advice and a great offer from
Bruce.

Dean

Mine just had the same problem and it was the blower motor. I replaced it
myself, very easy job, up under the passenger foot well. Just be very
careful removing the fan blades, if they crack you will have to replace
them
as well. I got my motor from www.autohausaz.com

My Heater/ AC fan has now stopped completely.

At first it made a worn bearing noise

Then it would run for a few minutes and stop

How can I tell if it is the blower motor or regulator? In the past the
recommendations were to replace the assembly not just the motor.

Any ideas

Thanks,

First, I wish to thank all of you (mbramel, Dean, Markus, Dick, Richard,
Jonathan and Bruce) who provided me such valuable data and advice on this
question I asked. Very enlightening.

The vehicle I wish to transport is my old Chevy Blazer. It's 39 years
old, quirky, rusty, the suspension/steering is a bit loose, and it has no air
conditioning. It would be an arduous trip, to say the least, to drive it. I
was going to do it, but I'm thinking that gas and lodging would probably
cost as much as a shipper. Not to mention that I would have to go back to
Seattle to get my car, so would require an extra trip (I'm moving to AZ).

Why do I want to go to the trouble of getting it to AZ in the first place,
you ask? Well, it was my first vehicle; I purchased it with my own money
out of college. We grew up together you might say. It's been sitting,
rusting, for the last ten or 15 years, and I want to have it as a retirement
project. I want to restore it to its past glory.

So, Bruce, thank you for your generous offer. I will be contacting you off
list.

Regards,
Steve Nervig
